For 10 years ADC's Portfolio Night has given aspiring writers and art directors the chance to get their books reviewed by some of the best creative directors in advertising. But we are in the midst of a creative revolution.
The traditional creative team is expanding to include technologists, and as a result, the modern day portfolio features code alongside art and copy.
In an effort to push the industry forward, we set out to make Portfolio Night 11, Los Angeles the first to welcome not just art directors and copywriters, but also technologists.
To demonstrate just how much is possible when an art director, a copywriter, and a technologist come together, we put all three in a room for 24 hours with the task of creating something they’d be proud to put in their portfolio. Here’s what happened.
